Catching up on lost times | Toronto Newborn and Family Photographer

Well, here I am! After over a year of blog slacking and not posting any of the wonderful sessions I shot, I am attempting to catch up! Let's start with this cutie - he was such an adorable little guy...who is now over a year old and I can't even begin to imagine how much he has changed!

Next up is this sweet family! I had so much fun with them, even though there was quite the chill in the air that day (I can't believe I remember that and it's been over a year since I shot this session)!

TWINS!!!!! How I love twins!!! I imagine that they're a ton of work, but wow, do they ever make for amazing photo subjects!

Next up is this cute teddy bear! Don't you want to hug him? Love those cheeks!!!!

This little girl, whose newborn photos I did a year before this shoot! I also got to see her at my 2015 Christmas/Holiday Mini sessions! She has grown so much and is still as sweet as ever! One of my (many) favourite things about my job is seeing how much babies grow and change!

Recognize this little guy? He's the same "football" from above! It's crazy how much a baby can change in only a few months! If you can't tell, his parents are huge sports fans! GO LEAFS GO!

This family was tons of fun as well! Daddy earns major bonus points for getting his wife a family photo shoot for Mother's Day (I hope my husband is reading this...)!!

And how I miss this wonderful family!! They were SO amazingly nice and fun to hang out with!! Their baby is adorable as well!!

Aaaaaaaand we're back...

This little one was beyond adorable! She was such a gorgeous baby and her parents were so sweet and loving to both her and each other. It makes me smile to see such a happy family!

And last, but certainly not least, the adorable baby pictured above's Auntie, who is also my very close friend, Ashleigh and her perfect family! They are expecting their third baby - a boy this time, in a few short weeks!! I'm so excited to photograph him when he makes his big debut!

Christmas and Holiday Mini Sessions are back for 2015! | Toronto family and baby photographer

I'm thrilled to announce that I will be opening up one day of Christmas/Holiday mini sessions on November 8th, 2015!! Technically I am still on maternity leave, yes...but I have so many new setup ideas for holiday minis, that I couldn't resist doing just a few :) Time slots are limited, so book quick! Please e-mail laurenlawrencephotography@gmail.com to book your session and indicate your first and second choice time slot! Available time slots are listed below. Mini sessions for up to 4 children are $150, 20 minutes long, include 5 digital images and a photo print release. If you would like parents included, you can book a family mini session of up to 5 people for $175.

Love this family! | Toronto family photographer

I adore this family! Their adorable little girl (pictured below) is best friends with my 4-year-old. These two dads are the most thoughtful, kind and loving parents. They are about to welcome their second baby girl into the world and I couldn't be more thrilled for them! Obviously this session was done when it was still warm outside...a few months ago and I'm still reminiscent of those times because, well, I love the warm summer sun and am suffering through this winter. Although I am thankful that it isn't shaping up to be nearly as bad as last year's winter (knock on wood).

Where to begin... | Toronto Maternity Photographer

When you're so ridiculously behind at blogging, it's hard to know where to start when you actually do start again! Life has been hectic (to say the least). Holiday season is nuts for photographers! I am finally getting around to breathing (and blogging) again. It's been fun though! I have thoroughly enjoyed the last couple of months of shooting and meeting so many wonderful families and babies! Unfortunately I wasn't able to offer Christmas/Holiday Mini Sessions this year due to the overwhelming demand I've had for regular sessions. A good problem to have ;) And it's a good thing I didn't offer minis this year because if you can believe it, my computer completely CRASHED smack in the middle of all the hustle and bustle these last few months!! Nightmare!! But luckily I use an offsite backup service that was able to recover almost all of my files. Phew! A while back when the weather was nice and warm, I shot the most wonderful maternity session! Melanie and her family were wonderful and so genuinely sweet! I think Melanie may be one of the most easy going people I've ever met. Melanie's little guy has since arrived (also a while ago) and I had the pleasure of shooting his newborn session - stay tuned for a future blog post (at the rate I'm going, it may be way into the future but I promise it will appear at some point).

These photos seriously make me miss the warm weather and my former life as a California girl. Sigh... I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Toronto, but NOT the weather here. How nice would it be to be able to be outside without tense shoulders all year and still be able to take advantage of all that Toronto has to offer?! A girl can dream. Anyway, here are some of my faves from Melanie's maternity session.

Thank Heaven for Little Girls!

My family is filled with girls - I have three younger sisters and two daughters, so naturally, when this family walked into my studio with their three beautiful little girls, I was in heaven! Baby Natalia was showered with affection from both her parents and her two older and adoring sisters. What a lucky little girl this baby is to be surrounded by so much love! Here are some of my favorite shots from baby Natalia's Newborn shoot - she was such a little doll!

Pregnancy is Magical! | Toronto Maternity and Family Photographer

Confession - I am jealous of my pregnant clients. Seriously...did YOU look like this when you were pregnant??

Because I sure didn't! Yet somehow, I seem to photograph so many gorgeous pregnant women. Pregnancy is truly magical and getting photos done of yourself and your family during pregnancy is a wonderful thing! I suppose I need to take my own advice and get photos of myself the next time I'm pregnant.

Anyway, I met Meena down at the Toronto beaches to take her maternity photos and I absolutely LOVE the way they turned out! Meena was super laid back and happy to be pregnant, which made my job easy. I definitely had a vision for the shoot and my vision became a reality once the photo session started.

The day I sent Meena her edited photos, I was told that her little one had been born! I don't blame the sweet little girl for being anxious to meet her parents! Photos of adorable baby Arya with her loving parents to come! 

It's a bird...It's a plane...It's...

SUPER BABY!!!

This cutie patootie flew into my studio (no, just kidding...he didn't fly...but that would be cool, wouldn't it?) all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, intent on proving to me that he would NOT fall asleep! But Superbaby, like most other babies (knock on wood...I'm very superstitious), finally caved into taking a trip to dreamland and I was able to capture some amazing shots of him!
